The founders of The Healthy Mattress Company Ltd have between them over 30 years experience in the bedding industry. During this time, as you can imagine, they have gained a huge amount of experience and knowledge regarding the do's and dont's when it comes to a good night's sleep! More importantly, a thorough understanding of how important it is to make sure that the bed you sleep on - particularly the mattress - is actually good for your body and overall well being. Considering the amount of problems (such as aches and pains, bad skin conditions and breathing difficulties) that can result from poor sleeping postures and contaminated mattresses, they decided to put their knowledge and experience to work and 'The Healthy Mattress Company' is the result.

Have you ever suffered from a bad back, or know someone close to your heart who suffers badly from Eczema and / or Asthma for example? If so, you know how distressing it can be - nobody likes to see a loved one suffer and indeed nobody likes to suffer themselves!
One of the founder directors of the Healthy Mattress Company Ltd knows exactly how this feels... For many years he'd suffered with a bad back, along with Eczema and Asthma to boot! Because of his knowledge and experience in the bedding arena - including medical beds - of how a poor sleeping posture and contaminated mattresses can be detrimental to health, he decided to work towards developing a solution to try and alleviate some of the problems that were commonly associated with sleeping in bed.
Back in 1999, he heard about an all new material that had been tested by NASA that actually claimed to support the body weight of a person lying horizontally by up to 60% more than a conventional sprung mattress. This material was call 'Memory Foam' or 'Visco Elastic'. The claims were true...
So that's the ache's & pains considered - all that was left was to find a solution for the skin irritation which, incidentally, always seemed to be worse first thing in the morning after a night in bed... Extensive research was carried out to discover a product or substance that was proven to help soothe and heal skin conditions - and indeed helps to resist bed bugs! The clear winner was a product called Aloe Vera. No surprises there.
So there you have it - that's the main reason that the Healthy Mattress Company came into existence. Suffice to say, all products that leave the Healthy Mattress Company factory are impregnted with Aloe Vera. The Healthy Mattress Company products are designed specifically to improve sleep by reducing aches, pains & skin irritations.
